About the Project

Sepal is conducting a study to understand the real-world judgment, workflows, and expertise of practicing pathologists and lab physicians . Our goal is to capture the subtle but critical decision-making that goes into diagnosing complex cases, triaging ambiguous findings, and working with lab data at scale.

We’re not building another AI model—we’re documenting and celebrating how real experts think and reason . Your input will help define excellence in pathology, build educational resources, and support future research on safe and aligned medical AI systems.

🔍 What You'll Do

• Share your background, clinical workflows, and the challenges you routinely solve
• Help design field-specific screening and reasoning tasks (e.g., ambiguous lab findings, borderline pathology calls)
• Document representative examples from your own practice — these may involve diagnostic tradeoffs, pattern recognition, or systems-level coordination
• Participate in asynchronous feedback or review rounds, if available

✅ Ideal Candidate

• Board-certified or eligible in Pathology (AP/CP or subspecialty)
• 4+ years of clinical or academic experience in pathology or lab medicine (including residency)
• Located in the U.S. with English language fluency
• Tech-comfortable: email, video calls, document uploads
• Able to work independently and follow detailed task instructions
• Current practice not required, but must have recent clinical/lab experience

💸 Compensation & Engagement

• $90–$180 per hour , based on experience and specialty
• Bonuses available for especially useful or creative contributions
• Fully remote and flexible — work on your schedule
