About Us
Advanced Growing Resources (AGR) is a Rochester-based precision farming company building the next generation of crop health technology. Think of it like a rapid COVID test, but for plants — our systems can diagnose crop disease in the field before it spreads, so farmers can treat only what needs treatment instead of blanketing entire fields with chemicals. The result: families get healthier food at lower prices, and farmers save money while protecting the land.
We’re a small founding team doing work that matters. Our technology is funded by NASA, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. We are building something that has never existed before, and we’re looking for someone organized and motivated to help us move faster.
The Role
We’re hiring a part-time executive assistant to support our three-person founding team. This is a flexible, remote-friendly role with occasional in-person errands in the Rochester area. You’ll be the person who keeps the trains running while we focus on the science and engineering.
This isn’t busywork. When you schedule a meeting with Cornell, you’re helping us set up a field trial that could change how farmers protect their crops. When you follow up with a vendor, you’re keeping our supply chain moving for hardware shipping to farms this summer. Every task you complete frees up a technical founder to do the engineering that gets this product into the hands of the people who need it most.
What You’ll Do
What We’re Looking For
Details
No technical background required. You do not need to understand the science behind what we build. You need to be the kind of person who gets things done, cares about doing them well, and wants to be part of a team working to help families eat healthier and more affordably.
