We are looking for a dedicated Optomechanical Design Engineer with a background in Electron Optics to help us craft, build, and debug groundbreaking prototypes that meet the highest standards of precision and reliability. Engage in the development of electron optics systems/subsystems by doing optomechanical design and building and debugging of prototypes. Apply CAD systems to build detailed drawings for all mechanical components. You will procure, build, assemble, and debug to ensure the design requirements are met. * Collaborate with suppliers worldwide to develop sophisticated, reliable solution for next generation e-beam tools. * Understand and drive system and subsystem requirement specifications. * Lead concept and detailed designs including design reviews. * Guide material and component selection for optical and opto-mechanical systems, precision drives and actuators and high vacuum systems * Propose feasibility studies and proof of concepts. * Drive the definition of test criteria and build test plans for functional prototypes. * Guide the release process according to KLA’s standard processes. * Work with multi-functional groups and lead system-level discussions including impact on overall system performance. * Lead problem solving activities at subsystem and system levels. * Educational Background: + Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering * Experience: + Proven experience in electron optics OR high vacuum system design OR precision mechanisms, OR precision mounting of optical components. + Hands-on experience or willingness to learn high voltage systems and EBeam/Ion Beam/Charged Particle Beam technologies. * Personal Attributes: Quick learner with a natural curiosity and eagerness to explore new technologies. * Technical Skills: + Proficient in mechanical design tools such as SolidWorks, ProE, and AutoCAD. + Skilled in simulation software like Mechanica and Ansys.
