Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc. graduate in Optical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a related field. The candidate will support the design, simulation, and testing of optical systems and components, and contribute to development work in optics using analytical, numerical, and experimental skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design and model optical components and systems using theoretical and computational tools.
Assist in aligning optical setups and performing bench-level experiments.
Conduct optical measurements using instruments such as spectrometers, detectors, imaging systems, and interferometric tools.
Record, organize, and interpret measurement data with precision.
Develop scripts and workflows in Python/MATLAB for numerical analysis.
Prepare clear technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
Work with engineering teams to evaluate prototypes and components.
Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting on optical assemblies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc. in Optical Engineering, Photonics, or related fields.
Strong understanding of geometric optics, physical optics, and photonics concepts.
Hands-on experience with optical experiments and alignment.
Proficiency with Python or MATLAB for scientific computing.
Familiarity with optical simulation tools.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Exposure to thin-film optics and modeling.
Experience with optical metrology tools.
Knowledge of optomechanical components and alignment techniques.
Understanding imaging systems, detectors, or illumination design.
