Description: NSI requires a Operations Research Analyst Intern to support the NAVAIR Cost Analysis Department. The operations research analyst Intern will work within the cost & schedule analysis team to formulate a system cost estimate to be used in developing, delivering, and sustaining weapon systems capabilities. The intern will gain an understanding of mathematical modeling of complex weapon systems acquisition and support, including statistical analysis using uncertainty principles.
Skills: Microsoft Excel and other data / statistical tools. Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distribution, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.). Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Location: Lexington Park, MD
Education: Senior or rising senior with expected Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or similar field by May 2027.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret DOD clearance required.
