Chemify digitizes molecule design and production to let researchers design, synthesize, and iterate on compounds faster and more reproducibly. It does this with its Chemputation platform that combines automated robotics, a chemical programming language, and AI-driven design to execute programmable synthesis and closed-loop make-test cycles. The product is a deep-tech B2B platform integrating lab automation hardware with software for molecular design, synthesis execution, and data-driven optimization. Chemify primarily serves pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and industrial materials customers seeking to accelerate discovery and scale reproducible chemical synthesis.

Chemify is revolutionising chemistry. We are creating a future where the synthesis of previously unimaginable molecules, drugs, and materials is instantly accessible. By combining AI, robotics, and the worlds largest continually expanding database of chemical programs, we are accelerating chemical discovery to improve quality of life and extend the reach of humanity.
We are looking for a tech-savvy, proactive Operational Finance Analyst to bridge the gap between our data silos and our production reality. You will be responsible for hunting down data across various platforms, automating reports using Python, and working directly with the production team to build processes where none currently exist.
This isn't just a desk job; you will be the "connective tissue" between Procurement, Inventory, and Production to ensure we have a clear, accurate picture of our Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
Location: ARC, Glasgow
Key Responsibilities
Data Extraction & Automation
Extract and centralize data from disconnected silos across the organization.
Develop and maintain automated reporting scripts using Python to replace manual data gathering.
Create and manage the Master Inventory Position Report.
Process Engineering & Production Mapping
Engage directly with the Production team to map out currently undocumented activity flow charts
identify financial gaps, overlaps, and points of consumption.
Identify bottlenecks and "hidden" costs within the production lifecycle.
Establish a formal process for tracking production data where none currently exists.
Cost Analysis & Procurement Support
Analyze the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) to identify discrepancies and ongoing issues.
Support the Procurement team in bringing reporting functions in-house as we reduce reliance on outsourced providers.
Translate complex data sets into clean, actionable Excel dashboards for senior management.
Education/Experience:
Experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Data Analysis.
Note: A formal accounting qualification (Part Qualified) is not required for this role; we value technical data skills and operational curiosity over formal finance credentials.
