AUTONOMOUS FUTURE, TODAY EasyMile provides software and complete solutions for driverless mobility and goods transportation. It partners with blue-chip manufacturers to autonomize their vehicles with award-winning technology built on safety-by-design, ready for deployment today, with clear client benefits. Since 2014, the company has become known for quality delivery and real-world deployments. EasyMile’s proven technology has already driven autonomously in more than 30 countries, over 1,000,000km. For material handling, EZTow is a tow-truck solution optimizing supply chains with cross/indoor-outdoor, 24/7 ground transportation at factories and industrial sites. Its people mover solution, the EZ10, is the most-deployed driverless shuttle in the world connecting transport in both private and public locations, and in many cases, providing a service where there otherwise wasn’t one. Lately, the company introduced an autonomous port terminal tractor, EZTug, which automates horizontal container transport in mixed traffic. With several mass operations around the world EasyMile was the first to deploy fully driverless at Level 4 of autonomous driving and leads the market today with 10 deployments to date around the world. The future-ready technology specializes in robotics, computer vision and vehicle dynamics, partnered with global suppliers. Clients also include the world’s leading transport operators, city authorities, other airports, corporations, business parks, universities, other manufacturers, and logistics centers. With a headcount that has doubled in size every two years, EasyMile’s team is made up of close to 300 highly-skilled experts. Its headquarters are in Toulouse (France), with subsidiaries in Berlin (Germany), Denver (USA), and Singapore. EasyMile benefits from investors who are also technical partners. This unprecedented combination not only provides solid funding but also a powerful technology roadmap.

Internship details
Internship Context
EasyMile is exploring the deployment of on-premise AI solutions to strengthen its engineering and support activities. Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the intern will join a cross-functional team (R&D, IT, Support) to prototype and evaluate how AI models (on the shelves and / or augmented and / or fine-tuned) can improve developer productivity and technical knowledge access, while evaluating the viability of deploying on-premise GPU infrastructure compared to SaaS models, in terms of costs, performance, and data governance.
Internship Goal
The objective of this internship is to evaluate and prototype AI-based solutions for:
Code assistance: autocompletion, code review, documentation generation.
Information retrieval: predefined queries across heterogeneous sources (Confluence, JIRA, FluidTopics, internal documentation).
The internship will also explore advanced approaches such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and fine-tuning of models on internal corporate data.
Missions
Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the intern will:
Benchmark and compare open-source and commercial on-premise AI frameworks (e.g. LLMs, vector databases, orchestration frameworks) balancing costs and performance (latency, throughput, energy efficiency, and scalability).
Prototype code assistance features integrated with developer workflows (IDE plugins, Git hooks, etc.).
Design and test search pipelines across multiple internal knowledge sources.
Experiment with RAG and fine-tuning approaches for domain-specific tasks.
Document findings, trade-offs, and recommendations for production adoption.
Present regular progress updates to R&D and IT leadership. There is no typical profile at EasyMile, we all come from different backgrounds and that is what makes us strong! Don’t hesitate to apply if you are motivated and interested by innovative transportation and technologies.
