We are seeking an experienced mortgage underwriting professional to join our team as a Contract Product Analyst . This role will draw on deep underwriting expertise—including comprehensive knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA guidelines—to inform and shape our mortgage product strategy.
The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience interpreting and analyzing income, asset, credit, AUS, and collateral documentation, applying underwriting rules, and creating conditions. Leveraging this expertise, the Contract Product Analyst will partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate complex mortgage requirements into clear, actionable product improvements and new feature development.

Product Analysis
Apply advanced knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA guidelines to rigorously test mortgage underwriting tools and validate accuracy.
Review borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, collateral, AUS findings) and confirm the correct application of underwriting rules within the product.
Document test results thoroughly, flag discrepancies, and recommend solutions to ensure compliance with agency and investor standards.
Organize, prioritize, and track enhancement opportunities to drive continuous product improvement.
Serve as the subject matter expert on underwriting practices, providing clarity and context to both technical and non-technical teams.
Collaboration & Communication
Translate complex underwriting requirements into clear, actionable Jira tickets, product specifications, or roadmap items.
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to guide enhancements and ensure underwriting accuracy throughout the development lifecycle.
Provide ongoing SME input to influence roadmap prioritization, feature design, and product compliance decisions.
Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams.
