Role Description

This is a full-time, remote position for a Molecular Biologist. The selected candidate will design, execute, and analyze DNA sequencing experiments, with a focus on next-generation sequencing technologies. Responsibilities will also include developing and validating molecular protocols, interpreting genomic data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support research and clinical diagnostics. The Molecular Biologist will work closely with bioinformaticians to ensure accurate data analysis and maintain laboratory compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities

Review clinical case information and assist physicians in selecting appropriate genetic and molecular tests.
Provide scientific and technical support to healthcare providers regarding NGS-based testing and genomic diagnostics.
Communicate with physicians to clarify clinical indications and testing requirements.
Coordinate genetic testing workflows between clinicians, laboratories, and internal teams.
Support the interpretation of test requests and ensure proper test selection based on clinical context.
Assist in managing and tracking molecular diagnostic cases from submission to reporting.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of genomic testing technologies and clinical applications.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Biotechnology.
2-3 years of experience in molecular diagnostics, genomics, or genetic testing laboratories.
Strong knowledge of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies and workflows.
Experience in clinical coordination or physician communication is highly preferred.
Ability to review patient cases and recommend appropriate genetic testing strategies.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with physicians and healthcare professionals.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases remotely.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with clinical genomics or precision medicine programs.
Familiarity with genetic testing panels and molecular diagnostics pipelines.
