Job Summary:
Marsh McLennan is a global leader in risk, strategy and people, advising clients in 130 countries. They are seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to manage, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring the smooth deployment and management of containerized applications.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-premises or cloud-based).
• Ensure the high availability, scalability, and reliability of Kubernetes environments.
• Perform upgrades and patch management for Kubernetes and its associated components.
• Manage and troubleshoot deployments using Helm charts, manifests, or other CI/CD tools.
• Monitor and optimize Kubernetes resources, such as pods, nodes, and namespaces.
• Implement and enforce Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
• Provide technical guidance and support to developers and DevOps teams.
• Maintain detailed documentation of Kubernetes configurations and operational processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of experience in managing Kubernetes clusters using tools such as kubectl, Helm, or Kustomize.
• In-depth knowledge of container technologies, including Docker.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes services (EKS, GKE, AKS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go).
