Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled
Medical Data Abstractor / Clinical Text Annotator
with strong healthcare domain expertise to support the extraction, annotation, and validation of clinical data from Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).
This role is critical to advancing
research, clinical insights, and real-world evidence (RWE)
generation in
neurological disorders
. You will work closely with
Data Engineers, Data Scientists, RWE, Functional, and AI teams
to transform unstructured clinical narratives into structured, machine-readable data for AI/ML model training and clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Position Requirements
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in
Health Informatics, Life Sciences, Medicine
, or a related field
- Strong understanding of
neurological and behavioral conditions
(e.g., MS, epilepsy, dementia)
- Familiarity with clinical documentation styles
- Knowledge of medical coding standards:
ICD-10, SNOMED CT, CPT, LOINC
- Hands-on experience with EHR systems such as
Epic, Cerner, AthenaOne, eClinicalWorks, Greenway, Veradigm
, etc.
Preferred
- Experience working with
healthcare datasets or clinical research projects
- Familiarity with annotation tools (e.g.,
Prodigy, BRAT, LightTag, Labelbox, MDClone
)
- Working knowledge of
SQL, Python, or NLP pipelines
- Understanding of
clinical trial protocols
and patient cohort selection in neurology
