The Role: Your Playground
As our
Marketing Lead
, you’ll be the
voice, vibe, and vision
of Akaike in the world. You’re not just creating demand — you’re creating
movement
. From brand storytelling to pipeline-building to crafting magnetic content, this is your canvas.
You’re strategic enough to shape GTM strategy but scrappy enough to write the blog post when needed. You’re data-driven but creative. Curious but decisive. In short — you’re a unicorn, and you’re tired of being the smartest marketer in the room.
What You’ll Own (and Rock)
Brand, Storytelling & Messaging
- Own the Akaike brand — refine our story, tone of voice, and visual identity.
- Translate complex AI/ML concepts into clear, compelling narratives that resonate.
- Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, from slide decks to swag.
Growth & Demand Gen
- Run full-funnel marketing programs that drive qualified pipeline for sales.
- Build and optimize paid, organic, and partner campaigns (LinkedIn, Google, email, whatever works).
- Own the lead gen engine — from campaigns to landing pages to nurture flows.
Content, Content, Content
- Build a content machine: blog posts, whitepapers, videos, customer stories, memes (yes, memes).
- Partner with our engineers, product managers, and customers to turn their insights into compelling content.
- Champion thought leadership for Akaike across earned and owned media.
Events & Evangelism
- Own our presence at conferences, webinars, and industry forums.
- Organize and host community-driven events (IRL and virtual).
- Get creative with guerrilla marketing stunts (if you dare).
Marketing Ops & Analytics
- Set up the right tools (HubSpot? Notion? Carrier pigeons?) to manage campaigns and track performance.
- Define and report on KPIs that actually matter.
- Test, learn, iterate. Repeat.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work directly with founders, product, and sales to align messaging and GTM strategy.
- Hire and grow a team (internal + external) to scale with you.
- Roll up your sleeves. Nothing is “not my job.”
Who You Are
- 5+ years of marketing experience in B2B tech — ideally in AI/ML, SaaS, or deep tech
- Full-stack marketer with experience across brand, content, performance, and product marketing
- Proven ability to build and scale marketing from zero-to-one (and one-to-n)
- Excellent communicator and storyteller — both in copy and strategy decks
- Analytical mindset with creative firepower
- Startup Experience: bias for action, resourceful, low ego, gets things done
- Bonus points for: design chops, experience with developer/technical audiences, and/or building a PLG motion
