About the Role
We are seeking
senior Principal Medical Writers
with deep protocol authorship experience in
pharma or large CRO environments
who are passionate about improving protocol quality, speed, and cross-functional alignment.
This role is ideal for medical writers who:
- Have
led protocol development
for complex Phase I–III studies
- Are regularly consulted by
clinical, regulatory, and operational leaders
- Enjoy shaping how new platforms are adopted across organizations
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a
subject-matter authority
on clinical protocol authoring best practices
- Engage with clinical development, medical writing, and operations leaders to:
Review existing protocol workflows
Identify inefficiencies, rework, and misalignment
Demonstrate how AI-assisted protocol intelligence can address these challenges
- Provide
expert feedback
to Avenio’s product and clinical AI teams based on real-world protocol use cases
- Participate in
executive-level discussions and demos
as a protocol domain expert
Who You Are
- 12+ years of experience in
clinical protocol writing
- Prior experience at a
pharma company or top-tier CRO
- Authored or led multiple protocols across therapeutic areas
- Trusted advisor to clinical development, regulatory, or study operations teams
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Curious, commercially aware, and energized by innovation in clinical development
