Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting complex systems, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and systems to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, belts, switches, wiring, and plumbing to ensure continuous operation
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust automated processes for optimal performance
- Conduct welding repairs and perform residential painting tasks as needed for facility upkeep
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance records to accurately diagnose problems
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks
- Support facilities maintenance activities including HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and general building repairs
- Supervise or assist with team members during complex repair projects while maintaining safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for maintenance support
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a strong mechanical background
- Hands-on knowledge of electrical systems including troubleshooting with schematics and ohmmeters
- Skilled in welding techniques suitable for industrial repairs
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated manufacturing environments
- Experience with CMMS software for work order management and documentation
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is highly desirable
