Position Overview

Proximie is seeking two machine learning engineers to join their data team. The engineers will develop and deploy machine learning solutions that improve clinical outcomes and drive productivity.

• First Position: Work with multi-modal data (audio, vision, and language) to curate and augment datasets for advanced machine learning solutions.
• Second Position: Lead the development of intelligent systems to automatically detect and capture key events in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and commercial teams to develop and deploy AI models for real-world applications in hospitals.
• Design, train, and validate machine learning mono and multi-modal models using state-of-the-art approaches.
• Develop models robust to the heterogeneity of operating room environments.
• Own the full model lifecycle including data curation, model implementation, training, validation, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop within the Proximie environment for dynamic model training and performance evaluation.
• Document solutions and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• PhD in a machine learning field (computer science, data science, engineering) preferred; Master's considered.
• Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience in industry developing and deploying AI solutions.
• Expertise in developing, training, and fine-tuning machine learning and multi-modal models.
• Deep knowledge of traditional machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI methods.
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch) and Python.
• Experience with MLOps practices is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
