Position Overview
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be instrumental in crafting and refining sophisticated Machine Learning algorithms that drive our legal tech solutions. This role requires robust expertise in machine learning R&D, particularly involving NLP (Natural Language Processing) and Large Language Models, to improve information extraction, information retrieval and search, document analysis and summarization, and generation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced AI algorithms to boost the functionality and efficacy of our legal AI applications.
- Work closely with product teams to integrate AI technologies into solutions centered around user needs.
- Enhance and streamline machine learning pipelines for superior performance and scalability.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation to maintain the accuracy and reliability of algorithms.
Requirements
- M.S. or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning R&D.
- Proficiency in Machine Learning and NLP techniques and tools.
- Demonstrated experience in developing real-world AI solutions or contributing to open-source applications using NLP.
- Strong software development capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at identifying and addressing bottlenecks for optimal performance under varying loads.
Preferred Skills
- Extensive experience in building and managing production-level machine learning systems.
- Expertise in prompt engineering and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technologies.
- Experience in developing search and retrieval algorithms.
- Experience in training Large Language Models.
- Web development experience or willingness to acquire the necessary skills to contribute to our web-based product offerings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and translating legal workflows described by these teams into technical solutions.
