Building the AI for lawyers requires a rare combination: deep legal expertise and advanced technical fluency working in lockstep. We're hiring a Legal Engineer to be that bridge. Who breaks down how lawyers think, rebuild those processes with AI, and create workflows that thousands of legal professionals will rely on every day.

Your role as Legal Engineer

In this role, you will design and build the AI workflows that power our platform. You work within Saga Lab, where legal domain experts and engineers collaborate to solve complex problems and help lawyers work more effectively. You translate how lawyers think and work into structured processes that AI can support and enhance. You'll work closely with domain experts, software engineers and clients to understand problems, prototype solutions, and iterate based on real use.

The work is intellectually demanding and varied. You might enable the platform to perform sophisticated legal research, design workflows that mirror how experienced lawyers analyze contracts, or build systems that help legal teams work faster without compromising quality. The work is complex, the impact is real.

What you bring to our team

You're a legal professional who loves working with technology. You understand legal work well enough to break it down into steps, and you're comfortable with AI tools to build solutions. You care about craft, you move fast, and you get energy from seeing lawyers work better because of what you built. You also bring:

Legal qualification and experience working in law firms, in-house legal teams, or legal tech companies
Experience with legal tech tools, document automation, or process improvement
Strong communication skills: you can explain technical concepts to lawyers and legal concepts to engineers
Hands-on mindset: you prototype, test, iterate and improve based on feedback
Curiosity about how new technology can be pushed to transform legal work
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
