Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Part-Time Legal Accountant based in Cairo to oversee and manage all accounting and tax-related matters. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with Egyptian financial regulations and tax laws, maintain accurate financial records, and coordinate with relevant governmental authorities when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting activities related to the company’s operations in Egypt.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax laws and financial regulations.
• Prepare and submit tax returns (VAT, income tax, withholding tax, etc.)
• Handle e-invoicing requirements in accordance with Egyptian Tax Authority regulations.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform regular reconciliations.
• Liaise with the Egyptian Tax Authority and other governmental entities when required.
• Support external audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Ensure proper documentation and archiving of financial records.
• Provide financial advice to management regarding compliance and tax planning.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Registered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant in Egypt.
• Proven experience handling accounting and tax matters in Egypt (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax regulations and the e-invoicing system.
• Experience dealing directly with the Egyptian Tax Authority.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Must be currently residing in Cairo.
• Ability to work on-site when required.
