At our Malaysian Global Delivery Centre we work with clients from around the world to deliver engineering services in the industries of defense and cybersecurity to meet our customer’s needs.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to work as a lead front end developer on a geospatial application as part of an agile development team. This is a highly technical role with a focus on technical leadership in hands on development.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and implement responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React, TypeScript, Material UI and other modern frameworks.
• Have an R&D mindset with a passion for iterative prototyping of new ideas and technologies.
• Contribute to UI/UX discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Support high level estimation and sprint planning following agile methodologies.
• Stay current with best practices in geospatial development and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Experience with backend technologies such as Java or Python an advantage to allow rotation to different technical areas based on business priorities.

Role Requirements

• At least 7+ years’ experience in hands on development, ReactJS of primary focus but experience in backend technologies such as Java an advantage
• Excellent English communication skills should be comfortable presenting to an international audience of senior stakeholders.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience working in the geospatial domain.
• Experience with ReactJS, Redux and React Hooks
• Experience with WebGL/OpenGL or other 3D rendering/modelling technologies
• Experience with Backend Software Technologies such as Java or Python
• Experience with DevOps, Docker and CI/CD technologies
