What the job involves
Working closely with Cohere engineers to plan, deploy, and support high-availability solutions
Continuously analyzing the performance of cloud resources and infrastructure, identifying areas for optimization to improve speed, reduce latency, and lower costs. This involves managing cloud resource utilization effectively to avoid over-provisioning and ensuring efficient scaling practices
Leading the creation and enforcement of DevOps standards, best practices, and policies to ensure consistency across the team. This includes creating comprehensive guidelines for code quality, deployment processes, and incident response procedures, ensuring smooth collaboration between development and operations teams
Providing leadership and mentorship to DevOps Engineers, helping them develop technical skills, adhere to best practices, and grow within the team. This includes conducting regular training sessions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing practices
Implementing and managing tools supporting Cohere’s engineering teams and infrastructure including monitoring and alerting, performing Continuous Integration/Continuous Development, and version control
Automating the compilation, testing, packaging, and release of Cohere’s software platform
Overseeing the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for managing and automating infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
