Job Overview
We're seeking a pioneering AI Team Lead to join one of the fastest growing legal tech companies in Europe. With an established suite of AI-powered products already serving customers in the market, we're now expanding our AI capabilities to deliver even more value. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish AI best practices, develop generative AI solutions, and build agentic systems for our platform.
Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Implementation
- Architect and implement advanced generative AI and LLM-based solutions for our product suite.
- Design and develop sophisticated agentic systems that can perform complex tasks autonomously.
- Establish best practices for AI development, testing, and deployment across products.
Technical Leadership
- Initially handle all AI development hands-on as the primary technical contributor.
- Work with our Head of Engineering to build a high-performing AI team as our initiatives expand.
- Maintain significant hands-on coding involvement even while leading the team.
- Create clear processes for AI development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities.
- Partner with the CTO and leadership on AI roadmap planning.
- Translate complex AI concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
Technical Expertise
- Extensive hands-on experience developing and deploying generative AI systems and applications.
- Deep expertise with large language models (LLMs) and their practical applications.
- Experience building agentic systems that perform complex tasks autonomously.
- Strong programming skills (Python) and software engineering background.
Leadership Skills
- Ability to work independently as the primary technical contributor handling all aspects of development.
- Comfort with hands-on coding and technical work even after building a team.
- Experience mentoring and developing technical talent.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strategic Vision
- Ability to create and execute AI roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Experience translating cutting-edge AI research into practical applications.
