The Department of Surgery is seeking an experienced knowledge translation specialist to support evidence syntheses, evidence summaries, and critical appraisal of best evidence in surgery. The ideal candidate will assist in developing a large, evidence-based database of evidence, including communication and network building for appropriate stakeholders.
About Research Group
Innovation Through Design, Evidence and Acceleration (I.D.E.A) of surgical treatments launches in early 2026 at the McClean Center for Collaborative Discovery. IDEA brings together a multidisciplinary team of scholars with an early focus on novel surgical innovations. Leveraging critical partnerships with industry and national grant funding, researchers at I.D.E.A aim to bring creative solutions to globally relevant issues in the field. Strategically, I.D.E.A will build global networks, conduct practice-changing research, and provide actionable consultation to its partners. We believe everything begins with a beautiful idea.
A new space is being developed in the Mclean Centre for Collaborative Discovery. This position will be hybrid, requiring on-site presence at the Centre, as well as the IAHS Department of Surgery admin office as required.
