What You’ll Be Doing

Advanced Fabrication: Fabrication of robot components using 3D printing, waterjets, laser cutters, etc.
Rapid Prototyping: Participate in the the iterative design process, taking parts from CAD files to new robot features in short time frames.
System Assembly & Integration: Install, test, and troubleshoot components and on autonomous mobile robots.
Field Testing & Deployment Support: Supervise robot performance in the field along guidelines like "Design for Assembly" (DFA) and life cycle analysis.

Requirements

Educational Background: Recent graduate or current Senior pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
Mechanical Aptitude: Experience and intuition with hands-on projects, such as robotics, automotive work, or custom electronics.
The "Maker" Mindset : Experience in a machine shop, Formula SAE, or a high-level robotics club is highly preferred. CAD and 3D Printing experience are required.
Logistics: Valid driver’s license and the ability to lift ~50 lbs for hardware handling.

Technical "Bonus" Skills

Familiarity with Linux-based systems and ROS (Robot Operating System) .
Knowledge of sensor hardware (Lidars, depth sensors, IMUs).
Electrical circuit or PCB design experience.
