Job Summary:
Calendly is a company focused on providing scheduling solutions, and they are seeking a Manager, Reporting Analytics to lead a team responsible for defining and delivering company-wide metrics and reporting infrastructure. The role involves managing reporting systems, collaborating with various departments, and mentoring analysts to drive transparency and accountability across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Own and evolve the gold standard of metric definitions at Calendly, ensuring alignment, consistency, and trust in our most critical KPIs.
• Manage the reporting layer within our data warehouse, building the foundation for scalable analytics, executive visibility, and unified decision-making.
• Design and deliver the official reporting suite—including our Corporate Scorecard, Weekly Business Digest, and performance dashboards used across the company, from the Executive Team to functional stakeholders.
• Support high-stakes reporting moments such as Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Board materials, and executive offsites.
• Lead the development of a semantic layer and reporting framework that enables company-wide self-serve analytics while preserving consistency and clarity.
• Champion thoughtful, stratified design in reporting experiences—tailoring dashboards, visuals, and storytelling for specific audiences (e.g., SLT vs. departmental leaders).
• Ensure strong UX and technical structure in reporting products—balancing visual clarity with backend maintainability and intuitive navigation.
• Partner cross-functionally with Analytics, Engineering, Product, GTM, Finance, and Operations to align on shared definitions and build tools that reflect the state of the business.
• Mentor and support a team of experienced analysts, providing guidance on stakeholder engagement, prioritization, and skill development.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Have 2+ years of people management experience, ideally leading analytics, data, or reporting teams.
• Have strong SQL skills and experience working within a modern data stack (e.g., dbt, Hex, BigQuery); bonus if familiar with Python.
• Have a track record of owning metric definition frameworks and the reporting infrastructure needed to uphold them.
• Are deeply invested in information design—you think about the UX of data, tailor reporting for different leadership levels, and get energy from presenting information in a way that drives clarity and action.
• Can speak to semantic layer design and self-serve enablement—you know what it takes to empower others with data without compromising consistency.
• Are a thoughtful communicator and insight storyteller, comfortable working with and presenting to senior leaders and executives.
• Have experience supporting Board-level and strategic reporting, with a high bar for precision, accuracy, and relevance.
• Operate well in ambiguous environments, translating strategic goals into operational reporting systems.
• Are energized by growing people and building team culture.
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time.
