ROLE OVERVIEW
The Bovine IVF Laboratory Technician is an integral part of our global team to help bring certainty to genetic progress in livestock. The IVF Laboratory Technician will work alongside team members to perform all duties associated with embryo production, data entry, and communication while adhering to all laboratory standard operating procedures.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending and reaching throughout the workday.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while performing administrative and computer-based tasks.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers, including fine motor skills, to handle laboratory materials, type and operate office equipment.
• Ability to maintain focus and visual acuity for detailed work, including data entry and inventory checks.
• Occasional exposure to cold temperatures when handling liquid nitrogen storage tanks and related equipment.
• Flexibility to adjust work hours, including earning mornings.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field of study
• Industry knowledge and a strong passion for IVF and/or eagerness to learn and commit
• Previous laboratory experience in an academic and/or professional setting
• Knowledge of oocyte, sperm and embryo biology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to details and technicalities
• Excellent organizational and technical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
• Some travel may be required
