IT Resourcing at Ergo are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented System Administrator for a market-leading client in Galway.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise across servers, networks, security, and cloud platforms, and be capable of troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring system reliability and performance.

The candidate will oversee the organisation's operation of Microsoft SharePoint and related 365 systems.

What will you do?

• Install, configure, and maintain servers (Windows) and network infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and ensure the availability and reliability of IT services.
• Maintain system backups and data recovery procedures.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Maintain security through access controls, firewalls, and patch management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
• Support end users with technical issues, both remotely and onsite.
• Implement and document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Assist with IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and perform routine audits.

What do you need?

• 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS
• Admin experience on Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V).
• Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Be able to work onsite 2-3 days per week.

It's an advantage to have:

• Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, MCSA, or AZ-104.
• Experience with RMM management tools.
• Familiarity with scripting - PowerShell, Bash, Python.
