The Role

We’re seeking an IT Security Specialist to join our growing IT team and strengthen our company’s security and compliance posture. In this hands-on role, you’ll implement and improve security frameworks, manage SSO and MDM infrastructure, and ensure seamless user experiences across our expanding device fleet. You’ll lead monthly, quarterly, and annual audits, vet major vendors for SOC2 Type 2 compliance, and oversee adherence to any additional regional standards. This role also plays a central part in onboarding and offboarding processes, working closely with HR to enhance and streamline experiences for new and departing team members.

As we scale internationally, you’ll be instrumental in developing and enforcing security frameworks across all departments, ensuring compliance at every level. You’ll also provide ongoing support to minimize downtime related to device, SSO, or MDM issues, collaborating with teams to proactively address any roadblocks and maintain operational continuity.

What You’ll Do

• Implement new security frameworks and their associated controls (eg- ISO27001) within our security and compliance platform
• Manage and optimize our Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity infrastructure to ensure secure, seamless access across all company applications.
• Oversee device management policies and tools (MDM), maintaining compliance, enforcing security standards, and supporting end-user productivity.
• Manage ongoing audit cycles to retain accreditation and ensure continuous compliance with security frameworks.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure we maintain continuous compliance with our security frameworks, quickly identifying and remediating issues when they arise.
• Contribute to vendor security reviews, ensuring partners meet the standards of our GDPR and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance.

What We’re Looking For

• 4–6 years of experience in IT security, with strong expertise in SSO and MDM administration.
• Able to work core hours aligned with US Pacific Time.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills - you’ll be working across functions to achieve our this role’s mission
• Experience managing high-impact projects from planning through execution and delivery.
• Proficiency with tools like Drata, JumpCloud, Google Workspace Admin, and Apple Business Manager is a plus, bonus points for experience building automation flows using platforms like Zapier or n8n.
