Key Responsibilities:
US Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive US data center sourcing strategy aligned with GMI Cloud's global rapid expansion plans and long-term AI infrastructure roadmap, with a strong focus on US markets.
Market Intelligence & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis on global data center supply, demand, pricing trends, regulatory landscapes, and emerging technologies, providing critical insights into both existing inventory and future growth opportunities
Relationship Building & Network Leverage: Proactively cultivate and leverage a strong personal network within the data center, real estate, and colocation industries, particularly across the US territory, to identify strategic opportunities.
Deal Negotiation & Execution: Lead complex negotiations for data center leases, colocation agreements, power procurement, and connectivity services, ensuring favorable terms, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with technical requirements.
Vendor Management: Establish and manage strategic relationships with key data center operators, real estate developers, and infrastructure service providers globally.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, legal, finance, and operations teams to translate technical requirements into sourcing specifications and ensure seamless project delivery from site selection to operational readiness.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with data center sourcing, including supply chain disruptions, geopolitical factors, and compliance issues.
Process Optimization: Develop and implement scalable sourcing processes, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and accelerate global expansion.
