Industrial IT

Job Description: We are looking for a skilled Industrial IT to join our technical team. The role will be responsible for managing the company's technological infrastructure, ensuring the proper functioning of information systems and the network, as well as their security.

This position is based at our headquarters in Mendrisio.

Key Responsabilities:

• Management and maintenance of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Administration of the corporate network and connected devices
• Configuration and management of VPNs and NAT policies
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers
• Management of corporate hardware infrastructure
• Management and orchestration of Docker containers
• Proactive monitoring of server systems and performance
• Implementation and management of backup policies

Requirements:

Must have:

• Proven experience in managing Windows systems
• Good knowledge of the Linux environment
• Skills in configuring and managing NAT and VPN
• In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN networks
• Solid experience with Docker and containerization:
• Creation and management of Docker containers
• Orchestration using Docker Compose
• Docker network management
• Image optimization
• Implementation of container security best practices

Hardware and Server Knowledge (Required):

• Hands-on experience in installing and configuring physical servers
• Ability to manage and maintain enterprise server hardware
• In-depth knowledge of server architectures (RAID, storage, CPU, memory)
• Experience with virtualization systems (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Skills in storage and backup management
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues
• Familiarity with UPS systems and power infrastructure
• Experience in managing server rooms/data centers

Nice to Have

• IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, MCSA, CCNA)
• Docker certification (DCA - Docker Certified Associate)
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with server and container monitoring systems
• Knowledge of cloud and hybrid technologies
• Experience with clustering and high availability systems
• Skills in disaster recovery and business continuity
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices
