About The Role We are looking for a proactive and skilled Industrial Buyer to join our Manufacturing team in Paris. You will work closely with our R&D, and Manufacturing teams to ensure the timely sourcing and delivery of components critical to our cutting-edge developments. This is a unique opportunity to help define and scale a procurement vision from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

Degree in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
+3 years of relevant experience in industrial procurement or purchasing, preferably in defense, aerospace, consumer electronics or automotive.
Ability to understand component specifications and hands-on experience with electronic/mechanical components is a plus.
End-to-end procurement process knowledge: from supplier identification to contractualization and performance follow-up.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders across multiple departments.
Communication & Commitment: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English; full alignment with Harmattan AI’s mission and willingness to go the extra mile to support our growth.

Strategic Sourcing & Development

Partner closely with R&D teams to anticipate and understand technical needs, ensuring they have the right components and materials at the right time.

Centralize and harmonize orders across R&D modules to improve cost efficiency and streamline processes.

Support supplier negotiations, ensuring favorable terms on quality, cost, and lead times.

Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, acting as the bridge between technical teams and suppliers.

Procurement & Order Management

Own the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing and placing orders to contractualization.

Monitor and measure supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Ensure on-time, in-full deliveries across all projects, keeping critical milestones on track.

Maintain accurate order tracking, documentation, and reporting to support project visibility.

Process Development & Optimization

Build and scale the procurement process alongside the team.

Play a key role in building and scaling a best-in-class procurement process, working alongside the team.

Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost control, and supplier collaboration.

Contribute to defining Harmattan AI’s long-term procurement vision, with the opportunity to shape strategy from scratch.
