AcadAlly is a fast-growing EdTech platform dedicated to personalised, outcome-driven learning for K-12 students. Our mission is to give every learner a crystal-clear map of where they stand and where they are headed. We are now building a comprehensive Learning Outcomes Map (LOM) starting from the IB curriculum — and Mathematics is the first pillar.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As IB Curriculum Specialist (Mathematics), you will be the sole subject-matter expert responsible for decomposing the full IB MYP and DP Mathematics syllabi into discrete, measurable learning outcomes — exactly one outcome per concept — and organising them into a coherent, navigable graph that powers AcadAlly's adaptive learning engine. This is a foundational, high-ownership role reporting directly to the Head of Content.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Learning Outcomes Mapping — Mathematics
- Audit the full IB MYP (Years 1–5) and IB DP Mathematics (Analysis & Approaches and Applications & Interpretation — both SL and HL) syllabi.
- Decompose every topic into atomic, assessable learning outcomes, one per concept node, structured as a directed acyclic graph (DAG) of prerequisite relationships.
- Tag each outcome with Bloom's Taxonomy level (Remember → Create), IB ATL skill clusters, and difficulty band.
- Validate outcomes against official IB subject guides, specimen papers, mark schemes, and teacher-support materials.
2. Curriculum Alignment
- Cross-reference IB Mathematics outcomes with CBSE, IGCSE, Cambridge A-Level Mathematics, and AP Calculus/Statistics to identify equivalences and gaps.
- Ensure every outcome is SMART and fully compliant with the current IB Mathematics subject guides.
- Conduct structured peer-review cycles with external IB examiners and incorporate feedback within agreed timelines.
3. Documentation & Data Output
- Author the Mathematics LOM Style Guide — defining grammar, taxonomy, and tagging conventions for all IB Mathematics content.
- Produce structured outputs (Google Sheets / JSON schema) ready for ingestion by the product and engineering teams.
- Maintain version-controlled curriculum documents with a change-log aligned with annual IB guide updates.
4. Collaboration & Enablement
- Work closely with Head of Content to phase the rollout: IB Mathematics first, then CBSE, IGCSE, Cambridge A-Level, AP.
- Brief instructional designers, tutors, and QA reviewers on LOM structure and usage conventions.
- Liaise with the product team to translate the LOM into adaptive-learning feature requirements.
5. Ongoing Maintenance
- Monitor annual IB Mathematics guide updates and refresh the LOM within agreed timelines during the contract period.
- Analyse learner-performance data (supplied by product) to identify outcome gaps and refine granularity.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Must-Have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (or closely related field).
- 4+ years of hands-on IB curriculum experience as an IB Mathematics teacher, examiner, curriculum coordinator, or content developer.
- Deep familiarity with IB DP Mathematics AA and AI (SL & HL) and IB MYP Mathematics (Years 1–5).
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, measurable, Bloom's-aligned learning outcomes at scale.
- Strong documentation and data-structuring skills (Google Sheets / MS Excel proficiency essential).
Nice-to-Have
- IB DP Mathematics examiner or workshop leader experience.
- Familiarity with CBSE, IGCSE, Cambridge A-Level Mathematics, or AP Calculus/Statistics.
- Exposure to EdTech, adaptive learning, or instructional design workflows.
- Working knowledge of JSON / structured data formats for LOM output.
- Experience with competency frameworks or learning-outcome ontology tools.
