Role

The Head of Finance owns the end-to-end financial operations of the Amin group companies, ensuring accurate and timely group reporting, robust financial controls, sound tax and compliance management, and clear commercial, pricing, and investor insight across a complex, multi-revenue, multi-entity, globally distributed business.

The role works primarily with the COO (operational execution and scale), CEO and the Fractional CFO (financial governance and judgement). It is a senior, judgement-heavy operator role responsible for building and scaling the finance function, while maintaining strong visibility into cash, runway, and financial risk.

What you will be doing

1. Group Accounting, Close & Reporting

• Own and deliver the monthly, quarterly, and annual group close
• Manage consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and FX
• Deliver group financials with clear variance analysis and audit-ready documentation

2. Revenue Recognition & Pricing

• Own revenue recognition policy and execution across multiple revenue models
• Partner with Sales and Legal on contract structuring and pricing decisions, pricing, and IP/licensing models
• Own margin analysis, unit economics, and deferred revenue accuracy

3. Financial Controls, Risk & Compliance

• Design and enforce group accounting, governance and internal control frameworks
• Own balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, and audit readiness
• Manage intercompany pricing, risk controls and financial exposures

4. Tax & Regulatory Compliance

• Own the group’s tax and compliance obligations across different regions
• Manage corporate tax, indirect taxes, and transfer pricing with advisors
• Identify and mitigate tax risks from cross-border activity and pricing

5. Third-Party Accounting Management

• Own relationships with outsourced accounting and advisory firms
• Set SLAs, close timelines, and quality standards
• Ensure consistent application of group policies across entities

6. FP&A, Budgeting & Forecasting

• Own group budgets, forecasts, financial planning cycles, cash flow planning, and runway visibility
• Build scalable revenue, margin and cost models
• Partner with leaders on cost control and resource allocation

7. Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

• Support go-to-market, growth, and pricing decisions with financial insight
• Build profitability views by product, customer, and geography
• Partner with Sales, CS, R&D, and Operations on financial performance

8. Investor Reporting & Governance

• Prepare financial materials for investors and the board
• Ensure consistency between management and investor reporting
• Surface key risks, judgements, and performance insights
• Support audits, due diligence, and financing documentation

9. Finance Systems & Function Growth

• Own the finance systems and process roadmap
• Improve automation across reporting, revenue, and close
• Build and scale the finance team, processes, and controls
• Manage, coach and develop a small Finance team

• Experience in technology-driven businesses, managing multiple revenue streams, providing financial insight, and supporting strategic business growth
• Strategic thinker with the ability to design and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s growth vision
• Skilled in stakeholder management, with effectiveness in collaborating across teams and engaging diverse financiers, advisors, and partners
• Energetic and positive approach to Finance & Strategy, seeing them as enablers of growth rather than back-office functions
• Entrepreneurial mindset, with adaptability to the fast-moving, dynamic nature of a global deep tech startup environment

Must-have

• Senior finance experience (Controller, Finance Lead, Senior Manager)
• Strong hands-on experience with GAAP reporting, multi-entity consolidation, and complex revenue recognition
• Experience managing outsourced accounting and tax advisors
• Comfortable operating in globally remote environments with strong written communication and judgement

Strongly Preferred

• Experience across IFRS and GAAP
• SaaS, services, or hybrid revenue models (including hardware or projects)
• Experience in scaling or high-growth environments
• Audit or advisory background or transaction support background
