Overview

Paladin Security is seeking a professional and reliable Full-Time Security Guard to join our team at Kingsway in Edmonton. This position requires a customer-focused individual who thrives in dynamic environments, responds confidently to emergencies, and maintains a strong visible presence to ensure the safety of clients, patrons, and property.

Paladin Security now offers DailyPay, allowing employees to access earned wages before payday and easily track earnings. Employees may withdraw pay off-cycle, with deductions applied to their regular pay cheque.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients and patrons
• Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches
• Respond to and investigate security alarms and emergency situations
• De-escalate crisis situations and liaise with police, fire, and paramedic services
• Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers when necessary
• Write clear and detailed incident, emergency, liability, and daily reports
• Provide first aid and medical response when required
• Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities
• Manage Lost & Found items and related inquiries

Requirements

Must Have:

• Valid Security License
• Valid Class 5 Full License (Class 7 not accepted)
• Open availability
• Class 5 Advanced or higher license required
• Ability to walk 18–20 km per shift and use stairs

Preferred:

• Previous security experience
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent customer service abilities
• Strong observational skills
• Ability to make immediate decisions and remain composed in emergency situations with minimal supervision
