Apply strong decision-making and communication skills to all security and safety duties
Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed at all times
Follow site-specific Post Orders
Complete required site-specific training and follow direction from Client Service Managers or Supervisors
Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at site access points
Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure personnel, building, and equipment security
Monitor environments for safety hazards and infractions
Observe, report, and respond to security breaches, facility hazards, and emergency situations
Provide assistance to individuals in need of support
Contact emergency responders such as police, fire, or ambulance services when required
Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity
Respond to inquiries and information requests in a professional manner
Utilize two-way radios and computer applications effectively
Act with professionalism, integrity, and accountability
Promote workplace safety and support fellow team members
Must live within 30 minutes of Grande Prairie
Must have full availability during the week
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Alberta Security License
Availability for a variety of shifts, including overnights and weekends
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
First Aid and CPR Level C certification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a professional demeanor
Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain detailed site logs
Ability to make sound decisions independently while remaining composed in emergencies
High level of discretion when handling confidential information
Ability to perform under pressure and in adverse situations
Ability to walk 18–20 km per shift and climb stairs
