We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with experience in end-to-end development of wearable-based solutions including Frontend, Backend and Cloud to serve as a main technical focal point for our R&D team in Montreal, QC (full-time, hybrid).

Role Description

Design, build, maintain and own the full lifecycle of our core products that translate complex wearable sensor data into life-saving insights.
Ensure system scalability, reliability, security, and performance for sensitive health data, while adhering to privacy standards.
Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
Conduct code optimizations and review; ensure our system is scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Be a main technical focal point for a multidisciplinary team of colleagues.

8+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer with significant production system contributions to all aspects of software development, including architecture, design, research, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

A “can-do” attitude and a strong sense of ownership. Ability to work with high degree of autonomy, discipline, and proactive communication. Independent learning capability and curiosity without boundaries.

Frontend & Mobile

: React and React Native, Next.js, TypeScript & JavaScript; deployment of mobile apps (Google Play; App Store).

Backend & Data

: Laravel (including workers, queues and schedulers); Python; database technologies (PostgreSQL or similar); REST APIs; Webhooks

Infrastructure & DevOps

: Cloud and cloud services (AWS including Lambda and S3); logs and notifications (CloudWatch, Firebase, Sentry); containerization (Docker, AWS ECS, ELB); version control (Git, GitHub Actions)

Proven track record of retrieving and processing data from wearable devices (smartwatches or similar).

Proven track record of working with health data; experience with specific health data and compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2).

B.Sc. or higher in Computer Science or in a similar field. Understanding of CS fundamentals, such as object-oriented design, multithreading, code optimization, and runtime complexity.

Fluent English, and great communication skills.

Ability to work in flexible hours to support multi-site (time-zone) coordination and communication.
