As a
Frontend Software Engineerat EMBIO
Diagnostics, you will work with the Head of Software Development and be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining user-facing web applications across the company's product portfolio, including the airbeld marketing and e-commerce website, the airbeld productivity dashboard, and the user-facing surfaces of the airbeld AI assistant. The role focuses on delivering performant, accessible, and well-tested interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript, integrating with headless CMS, REST and GraphQL APIs, and authentication services. The position combines frontend engineering with UX implementation, automated testing, and CI/CD responsibilities to ensure the quality and reliability of all customer-facing web experiences.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong professional experience (3+ years) building production web applications with React, Next.js (App Router) and TypeScript; solid understanding of modern frontend tooling (Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Radix UI) and design-system development.
Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Vercel, Azure Static Web Apps) and automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Jest / Vitest, React Testing Library).

Design, implement, and maintain user-facing web applications across all airbeld products (marketing and e-commerce website, productivity dashboard, AI assistant UI) using Next.js (App Router), React, and TypeScript, ensuring performance, scalability, and accessibility.
UI and Component Development: Build responsive, accessible (WCAG-compliant) component libraries using Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, and Radix UI primitives. Implement design systems, animations (Framer Motion), and internationalization (next-intl) to support multi-market product launches across web and dashboard surfaces.
Integrate frontend applications with headless CMS (Payload CMS), REST and GraphQL APIs (including Shopify Storefront), and authentication providers (Auth0), handling tokens, sessions, protected routes, and streaming responses (Server-Sent Events) from the AI assistant service.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications via GitHub Actions, including pre-commit hooks (ESLint, Prettier, TypeScript), build verification, and automated deployments to Vercel and Azure Static Web Apps.
Implement and manage automated testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress for end-to-end testing, Jest / Vitest and React Testing Library for unit and integration testing) to ensure the reliability and regression coverage of frontend applications.
Monitor frontend performance, runtime errors, and user behavior using tools like PostHog, Sentry, Google Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel, and act on the resulting insights to improve UX and conversion.
Utilize Version Control Systems: Maintain version-controlled frontend codebases using Git, follow branching conventions (staging / production), and participate actively in code reviews.
Contribute to Technical Specifications and Requirements Analysis: Participate in defining UX, accessibility, internationalization, and performance specifications for new features and in conducting requirements analysis for frontend deliverables.
Participation in Funded Projects: Contribute to frontend-related tasks in funded projects, ensuring that project deliverables are met.
Coordinate with the Head of Software Development: Regularly communicate with the department head to align frontend priorities with overall project and product goals.
Respect and Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality of all data and company information related to systems, customers, and user data. Ensure compliance with ISO standards and propose process improvements where applicable.
Follow Staff Regulations and Set an Example: Adhere to staff regulations and lead by example in code quality, accessibility, and frontend engineering practices.
Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or relevant procedures.
Frontend Engineering Expertise: Strong knowledge of web performance, accessibility (WCAG), cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, and client-side data-fetching and state-management patterns (SWR, TanStack Query, React Server Components). Experience integrating REST / GraphQL APIs, headless CMS (Payload CMS or similar), and authentication providers (Auth0, NextAuth, or similar).
Familiarity with data visualization libraries (Recharts, Syncfusion, or equivalent), internationalization (next-intl), analytics tooling (PostHog, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel), and AI-assistant integration patterns (Auth0-protected APIs, SSE streaming). Excellent communication skills in English; ability to collaborate effectively in hybrid, remote, or onsite settings (role based in Nicosia, Cyprus, with hybrid and remote arrangements considered).
Active team player, self-motivated, and multitasker who can quickly adjust priorities.
