Providing heating for homes, buildings, and industry accounts for roughly 50% of global energy consumption. Heating is, therefore, one of the largest opportunities in the world to decarbonise; transforming Heating Grids unlocks the potential of low-carbon heat sources such as geothermal and waste heat. Yet, as Heating Grids transform, they will become increasingly complex and require a new approach to control and design. We believe that digital and data play a key role in this transformation and that traditional tooling for District Heating and Industrial Steam Grids has been insufficient. With our real-time Digital Twin Platform, we create a digital copy of your complete Heating Grid that runs in real time. This comprehensive software solution lets you optimise your grid, increase control and run simulations of future situations. So you can improve performance, reduce CO2 emissions by up to 10%, save on operating costs, realise up to 20% lower CapEx and make smarter operational and business decisions. We work with large district and industrial heating partners in Europe, such as E.ON, Eneco, Ennatuurlijk, Helen, Nobian, Shell, Uniper, and Wien Energie. Our team consists of 100+ energy specialists, engineers, data scientists and top-tier consulting alumni and is backed by investors Capricorn Partners, Eneco, ENERGIIQ, and Helen Ventures.

At Gradyent we're looking for a FP&A Analyst to join our team.
Full-time
Who we are
A quarter of all energy in the world is consumed to heat buildings. District heating is the most significant opportunity for cities to decarbonize. Gradyent is on a mission to help cities to decarbonize faster by digitizing district heating with our digital twin. Backed by a group of top investors, we are scaling the platform globally.
We currently have a team of 120+ people and offices in Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, and Hungary. Our team combines programmers and energy specialists, data scientists and top-tier consulting alums.
What we do
We offer a SaaS solution to create digital twins of heating networks. These digital twins, powered by AI and analytics, optimize (district) heating networks from heat sources to customers. As a result, we are transforming networks by reducing CO2 emissions and optimizing operations in terms of temperatures, pressures, costs and other metrics.
What you will do
Gradyent has developed from a start-up to a scale-up. That makes it increasingly important that the right information for decision making is there at the right time: top quality financial management is key. As a FP&A Analyst in our finance department, you will be reporting directly to the Finance Director. You will develop and refine financial forecasts and budgets, helping Gradyent turn strategic objectives into reality, and you will provide analytical insights into our commercial performance in monthly reports. You will enable fact-based decision making in key strategic choices, e.g. by analyzing the profitability of our activities or by developing business cases for growth initiatives. Additionally, you will support corporate finance activities, including cash management and investor reporting.
Your structured thinking, your analytical sharpness and your crisp communication skills will help you develop insightful reports, presentations, and analyses for management and investors. By working interactively with stakeholders across the company, you quickly understand what piece of financial analysis will make the difference. You make sure to deliver this efficiently, either with impactful in-person communications or by enabling self-service analytics in a dashboarding environment.
What you will bring
Find yourself checking a lot of these boxes but doubting whether you should apply? At Gradyent, we support a growth mindset for our teams through all stages of their careers. If you meet some of the requirements and you share our values, we encourage you to apply. As part of our ongoing commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, we’re invested in building teams with a wide variety of backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
