Role Overview
We are seeking a Founding Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our innovative and collaborative team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and scaling our platform, applications and agentic workflows. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build robust, efficient, and reliable systems that power our AI-driven solutions for network automation and operations. You will be joining a team of ~7 engineers and are expected to own projects from end to end while driving the pace of product development.
Location New York City, NY (Hybrid, office 4 days a week)
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that integrate with LLMs and timeseries neural networks.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI researchers, and network engineers to build innovative solutions for real-time network diagnostics, auto-provisioning, and outage detection.
• Architect and implement high-performance, low-latency agentic LLM workflows that handle complex networking scenarios.
• Partner with DevOps to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and reliability of services in production environments.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior team members, and uphold best practices for software development.
• Work with stakeholders to define technical requirements, estimate development timelines, and deliver high-quality features on schedule.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (7+ years) in software engineering with a strong focus on backend or full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency with Python (Django) is a must. • Expertise in building distributed systems and working with modern software architecture patterns.
• Deep understanding of API design, microservices, and data processing pipelines.
• Proven track record of collaborating in small teams to deliver outsize software solutions.
Nice to haves
• Production grade LLM experience (at scale deployments, agentic workflows, etc.)
• Experience working on networking stack tools like LibreNMS, Netbox, Ansible, Network to Code, ThousandEyes or other known NMS platforms.
• Familiarity with Networking telemetry protocols (SNMP, gNMI, NETCONF, Syslog, etc.)
• Front-End experience (React, Typescript).
• DevOps experience (AWS, Terraform).

Salary and Benefits
- Competitive Salary range is $120k-200k+ base pending level of experience
