This is a hands-on wet-lab role, especially well-suited for an exceptional recent PhD or early-career scientist who wants unusually high ownership in building an AI-bio company from the ground up.

At Exonic, we develop frontier AI models for programmable biology, with current focus areas in:

• synthetic regulatory DNA
• cell-type targeting
• biomanufacturing

We’ve already generated strong in vitro cell-targeting results and are expanding our experimental platform in Dogpatch, San Francisco.

We’re looking for someone ambitious and experimentally strong, ideally with hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, transfection, and DNA construct-related work. Computational and vibe coding experience is a plus but not required.

Compensation: $120K–$145K salary + meaningful equity. This is an onsite role in San Francisco, with a strong preference for candidates who can start soon.
