About The Central Team Gigs Central is building the modern stack for managing employee phone plans: global, instant, and without telecom legacy. We're a fast-moving team shipping the first B2B platform that makes issuing and managing phone plans as easy as assigning a SaaS license. We work at the intersection of Telecom, IT, and Ops – integrating with HR systems, device management tools, and carrier APIs.

This is an internal founding team inside a high-velocity company. We move fast, own decisions, and build for a global customer base.

The Role

You'll join as the Founding Full-Stack Engineer for Gigs Central, owning the next chapter of our product's evolution. The MVP is live and delivering value, now it's time to turn it into a scalable, category-defining platform.

You'll work side-by-side with product, design, early customers, and business stakeholders, making foundational technical decisions that shape not just how the product works, but how the team grows around it.

This is a high-impact, high-trust role for someone who wants to build, lead, and leave a mark.

What You Will Do

• Build the platform redefining how companies manage global connectivity for employees.
• Evolve our early codebase into a robust, scalable system with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and cloud-native services.
• Design for scale: multi-tenancy, deep integrations, and fast-growing product scope.
• Partner across design and product to ship clean, user-centric workflows at high speeds.
• Set engineering standards around quality, testing, and operational excellence.
• Define how we build: influence engineering standards, mentor others, and help scale a culture of technical excellence

What We Are Looking For

• You have 8+ years of experience building and shipping apps with React, TypeScript, and Next.js - used daily by real customers.
• You iteratively build minimum lovable products, not just viable ones, that work flawlessly, feel coherent, and are loved by users.
• You're comfortable working across the stack – from designing data models and APIs to building top user interfaces.
• You're fluent with RESTful APIs, worked with Docker, GCP, GitHub Actions, Cypress, or Testing Library. Working with git is natural for you.
• You're pragmatic. You focus on clarity, fast iteration, and real-world outcomes.
• You thrive in early-stage chaos. You're comfortable with shifting priorities, limited structure, and solving real problems without perfect specs.

Bonus Points If:

• You have startup or founding experience and have owned outcomes end-to-end.
• You have some experience working with Ruby.
• You have leadership experience.

• You have experience designing APIs and building backend services. You enjoy thinking about systems, and you care about the quality of the software you produce.
• You enjoy building products from scratch. You care about finding the right solution to customer needs, and you're comfortable taking ownership and delivering.
• You love learning technologies as you go. You always want to find the right tool for the job, and don't only follow what you already know.
• You care about more than just engineering. You need to see the business impacts of everything you do. You know how to make speed/quality trade-offs.

Salary range: $205000 - $225000 USD
