Midship is hiring a Founding Full Stack Engineer to help build the core of our product.
You will work directly with the founders and CTO to build the systems and interfaces that power our AI-driven audit workflows. This role sits at the intersection of backend services, data models, and user-facing product. You will be responsible for shipping features end to end, from database design through to polished user experiences.
A large part of the job is turning complex, messy workflows into simple software that auditors can trust and use without training. That includes building APIs that integrate tightly with our AI agents, designing review surfaces for AI output, and making sure the product feels fast, clear, and reliable.
This is an early, high-ownership role. You will shape core product architecture, influence how users interact with AI systems, and help define what internal audit software should look like. You should be excited about working close to users, iterating quickly, and taking responsibility for features from idea to production.
We are an in-person team based in San Francisco. This is one of our first non-founder hires.
