About Garden Garden (gardenintel.com) accelerates global technological development by fixing the patent system. We're building AI-powered search and analysis tools to make the patent process less painful and more effective for R&D organizations, inventors, prosecutors, and litigators. Our core product, Patentbreaker, is a groundbreaking 102/103 prior art search tool that automates the generation of claims charts for inter-partes reviews.

Leading companies and law firms are already seeing huge efficiency gains from our beta tools, and we were able to monetize a couple weeks into deploying. About The Role As a founding engineer, you will work on building multiple new software products from the ground up, as well as make core improvements to existing products. You will also be involved in helping to build out our engineering team. This will require curiosity for the space Garden operates in, an entrepreneurial mindset, broad and deep technical knowledge, a willingness to iterate rapidly, the ability to make difficult trade-offs, and ultimately, the desire to be held accountable for Garden products as experienced by users.

Qualifications

• Ability and enthusiasm to build top quality software products in a highly demanding and fast-paced environment.
• Experience with the full stack of cloud-based software development
• Experience with Typescript, React, and NodeJs
• Experience configuring scalable and secure infrastructure
• A strong understanding of the speed/quality trade-off and an ability to strike the right balance based on user and business needs
• Enthusiasm to own problems end-to-end, and learn what needs to be learned to get the job done

Nice to Have

• Experience with UX/UI design
• Experience with Rust
• Formal degrees or other certifications relevant to the position
