BrikMate is the agentic operating system for commercial real estate . It replaces fragmented, manual back-office work with intelligent agents that execute and coordinate the operational workflows required to run a portfolio.

Commercial real estate is a trillion dollar industry that is still dependent on unstructured documents, spreadsheets, and human-driven processes. This makes routine tasks slow, error-prone, and difficult to scale, while limiting visibility across leasing, compliance, and financial execution. BrikMate centralizes portfolio knowledge by unifying data into a structured, auditable data foundation.

On top of this foundation, BrikMate deploys AI agents that manage data, monitor critical dates, respond to tenant requests, generate reports, maintain compliance, and support workflows. Work is automated where possible, escalated when necessary, and always traceable back to source data.

BrikMate is built to become the system of record for commercial real estate operations. By owning both the data and the execution layer, BrikMate enables property teams to operate with speed, accuracy, and confidence across the entire property ecosystem.

Why Now

The timing is perfect. Recent AI breakthroughs have finally made it possible to extract, structure, and reason over the complex legal language buried in leases and related documents. This is the data that powers every major transaction, compliance decision, and portfolio operation.

What used to require armies of employees and months of work can now happen in days with the right system. The tooling in this industry hasn't changed in decades. We already have 6-figure enterprise contracts and proven adoption by global real estate firms and tier-one universities.

All of these tailwinds make now the moment to fundamentally reimagine how this industry operates.

Why You

You're a seasoned engineer who's experienced the AI shift firsthand. You've worked in both startups and larger companies, and you've felt what it's like to be 10x more productive than you were two years ago. You're shipping features that would have taken your entire team weeks, debugging systems faster than you thought possible, and architecting solutions you couldn't have designed alone.

You know the leverage you have now changes everything. You're not interested in building another CRUD app or marginally improving conversion rates.

This is a hands-on role where you'll own problems end to end, make architectural decisions, and shape how we build software.

You'll work directly with:

• Josef (CEO): CRE operator, $600M+ transacted, built this from his own real estate pains
• Marcin (Head of Product & Engineering): Scaled Handy/Angi through hyper-growth, launched $50M business, led post-acquisition integrations

What You'll Work On

The Hard Problems

Legal document extraction where a single wrong term can mean millions in losses. Async pipelines that must process thousands of documents with correctness guarantees and full audit-ability. Multi-step AI systems that need to learn from human feedback and get smarter over time. Canonical data models that represent decades of inconsistent legal language. Building systems that are fast enough for daily use, but reliable enough to power financial decisions.

You'll Build

• Mass Ingest pipeline that onboards entire complex real estate portfolios in days
• Agentic workflows connecting tenants, owners, and property managers
• Tenant-facing billing, payments, and work order experiences
• Platform architecture for document ingestion, canonical data modeling, async pipelines, and workflow execution

What We're Looking For

You've built production AI systems. Not prototypes or side projects. Systems that real users depend on. You've worked with agent frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen) or have strong distributed systems experience and can learn them quickly. You understand prompt design, tool invocation, and state management for long-running workflows. You use AI coding assistants daily.

You have strong engineering fundamentals. You know software architecture, understand when to use design patterns and when not to, write code that others can maintain, and ship systems that stay healthy in production through observability, testing, and failure-aware design.

You make good decisions, fast. You design from first principles, weigh tradeoffs deliberately, take work from idea through production, communicate technical decisions clearly, and raise the bar through example.

You're fluent in this stack: TypeScript, React, Postgres, Prisma (or similar ORM), async workers/job queues, NestJS (or similar), pub/sub systems, LLM APIs.

• You want to specialize in one area rather than own problems end-to-end
• You need the structure and resources of a late-stage company to be successful
• You want to punch a clock from 9-5

$140-200k base + up to 2.00% equity (seed stage, 6-figure contracts, path to profitability)
