Who You Are. You are a technically sharp, customer-obsessed engineer who thrives at the intersection of product, engineering, and real-world problem solving. You absolutely love talking to customers and are comfortable building product features on day one, refining an AI assistant the next, and presenting results to customers the day after that. You bring a methodical approach to ambiguous problems and have a bias toward shipping solutions that work in practice, not just in theory.

You care deeply about customer outcomes and see technology as a means to an end, helping businesses run safer, more efficient operations. You are truly excited about AI stepping to the physical world, and solving hard industrial problems using multi-modal AI anchored in vision.

You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you’re energized by direct customer interaction. You’re early in your career but already demonstrate strong judgment about when to push for technical elegance and when good enough is the right call.

What You’ll Do.

• Working directly with customers in manufacturing, logistics, and construction to solve real operational problems with video AI and seeing the measurable impact of your work
• Using cutting-edge AI tools like vision models, prompt engineering, agentic workflows to rapidly build and refine solutions that work in messy, real-world environments
• Owning the full lifecycle of a customer engagement with real accountability for outcomes, not just shipping code and moving on
• Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a way that builds trust and drives decisions
• Being methodical: defining success criteria, scoping problems carefully, testing hypotheses, and iterating based on data rather than assumptions

What Gets Our Attention.

• 1–3 years of experience in working on software projects, solutions engineering, or a technical customer-facing role
• Hands-on experience building software products, with comfort working across the stack (frontend, backend, or both)

• Base Salary Range: $100,000-$125,000 . Spot AI considers multiple factors when considering compensation offers, including geography.
