As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll own the technical success of their product within key accounts. This isn't a pure delivery role. You're not just implementing a solution; you're a product owner in the field, shaping the roadmap based on direct customer insights. You'll lead complex technical deployments, act as the core technical partner, and feed your learnings directly back into the product and documentation.

The work

• Lead hands-on technical deployments of OpenAPI-native tooling inside major customer environments.
• Dive deep into customer APIs and SDKs, identifying pain points and driving successful integrations.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for multiple key accounts, balancing competing priorities.
• Translate customer challenges and deployment learnings directly into product improvements and documentation.
• Influence the product roadmap, ensuring the next deployment is smoother and the product evolves with user needs.

What You Bring

• 6-8+ years of significant back-end or API engineering experience.
• Proven experience in a founding engineer, solutions engineer, or technical founder capacity, leading in-depth technical deployments.
• Deep customer empathy, able to pragmatically connect customer goals to product capabilities.
• High ownership and autonomy; you rapidly learn what you don't know and find leverage.
• You are comfortable working from the San Francisco office 4 days a week.
