Role Overview

You will build and lead Lightwheel’s Field Operations function in North America from 0 to 1, owning the end-to-end execution and delivery of real-world data collection projects. This is a high-ownership, execution-heavy role. You will make on-the-ground decisions in ambiguous environments and take full responsibility for delivery quality, timelines, and operational stability.

Responsibilities (What You’ll Own)

• Build and manage the Field Data Collection Operations team (full-time, part-time, and crowdsourced workers)
• Own end-to-end execution of real-world data collection projects, from staffing and training to on-site delivery and post-project review
• Design, implement, and continuously improve SOPs, quality control systems, and on-site execution standards
• Coordinate closely with product, engineering, and sales teams to align on data quality, timelines, and customer expectations
• Rapidly identify and resolve on-site and execution-related issues
• Manage third-party vendors, crowdsourcing platforms, and local partners to ensure stable delivery

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of experience in operations,crowdsourcing, and data collection
• Experience building or managing on-the-ground teams in North America
• Exceptional execution ability in environments with incomplete requirements or evolving processes
• Strong ownership mentality and decision-making ability under pressure
• Fluent in English as a working language

Better to Have

• Background in data labeling, data collection, or crowdsourcing platforms
• Experience in AI, robotics, autonomous driving, or other hard-tech projects
• Experience managing multi-city or cross-regional operations
