Bandora develops AI-driven technology that connects directly to HVAC systems and Building Management Systems (BMS) to optimize building performance and reduce energy consumption. As we scale deployments across multiple international markets, the Field Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the successful integration of buildings into the Bandora platform.

Role Overview

As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for handling Bandora’s building integration process end-to-end, ensuring that HVAC systems and building automation infrastructure are correctly connected, configured, and operational within the Bandora platform.

This role requires high technical rigor, strong analytical thinking, and exceptional attention to detail, as integration processes involve multiple systems, protocols, and configurations where precision is essential to avoid errors and ensure system reliability.

The position is primarily office-based in Lisbon, working in operations team and closely with engineering, with occasional technical visits to client sites when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end integration process of buildings into the Bandora platform

• Configure and integrate HVAC systems and Building Management Systems (BMS)

• Implement and troubleshoot machine communication protocols (such as BACnet, Modbus, MQTT or similar)

• Support deployment and configuration of Bandora gateway

• Validate system performance and ensure correct data acquisition from building equipment

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot integration issues

• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure optimal system operation

• Prepare integration documentation and technical reports

• Support operations with technical assessments and occasional site visits

Required Expertise

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and controls

• Experience with machine communication protocols used in building automation

• Experience integrating or working with Building Management Systems (BMS)

• Background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or similar

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
