Role Description

As a Field Applications Engineer at Reed Semiconductor you will be responsible for the technical support of designated datacenter OEM customers. You will play a key role as the primary interface between Reed’s product team specialists and customer engineering teams. Your responsibilities will include providing in-person technical support to our customers, lab testing of Reed EVM’s and customer PCB’s, and gathering customer feedback on existing and future Reed products.

We are seeking a talented and customer-focused Field Applications Engineer to help build our local customer support capabilities in Austin, TX.

In this role, you will be the technical interface to our customers, supporting them from concept to production with cutting-edge DC/DC power solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Field Applications Engineer or design engineering role within the semiconductor or power management industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of power electronics, including buck, boost, and flyback topologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Field Applications Engineer or design engineering role within the semiconductor or power management industry.
• Hands-on experience with schematic design, PCB layout, and system-level troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with power converter topologies and control types relevant to datacenter power requirements
• Experience testing + tuning digital controllers for xPU power rails is a strong plus.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
