Job Summary
The Facility Engineer is responsible for the preventive maintenance, unscheduled repairs, and calibration of all facilities and equipment, including Wafer Fab, Assembly, and Test equipment throughout the HieFo Alhambra Campus. This role involves facilitating the installation or relocation of process and support equipment and assisting the Facilities Director with environmental health and safety (EHS) submissions and record maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration on all facilities-related equipment. Diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Installation & Relocation: Facilitate the installation or relocation of process and support equipment as required.
- EHS Compliance: Assist the Facility Manager in maintaining EHS submissions and records for compliance with city, county, state, and federal regulations.
- Contract Management: Obtain and maintain contracts for major facility-related equipment including HVAC, LN2, vacuum systems, compressed air systems, neutralization systems, D.I. water systems, and environmental systems.
- Coordination of Maintenance Tasks: Coordinate preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and unscheduled tasks on all facilities-related equipment to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree from a vocational or community college in a related field (e.g., mechanical or electrical engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing various types of machinery.
- Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- The Facility Engineer will be expected to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
- The role may require occasional overtime or on-call duties as needed to address urgent maintenance issues.
