EHS Manager – Semiconductor Industry

Weilheim or Munich surrounding area, Germany

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our semiconductor facility in the Weilheim/Munich area. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management within the semiconductor industry, experience in clean room environments, and the ability to liaise effectively with local authorities.

Main Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain an EHS management system compliant with international and national standards (e.g., ISO 14000, OHSAS18000) and applicable laws.
Ensure EHS compliance in accordance with ASiG §6, maintain existing EHS systems, and drive continuous improvement.
Execute and coordinate internal and external audits.
Cooperate with local authorities, including accident insurers, safety regulatory bodies, and environmental agencies.
Guide departments in identifying environmental, health, and safety risks, drive implementation of improvements, and execute safety checks, risk assessments, emergency plans, and drills.
Organize and deliver employee training on EHS aspects.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Electronics, or equivalent from a University or University of Applied Science.

Certified Safety Engineer or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 10 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety management, preferably in the semiconductor industry.

In-depth understanding of clean room operations and related safety procedures.

Open-minded, hands-on mentality with cross-cultural understanding.

Fluent in English and German , both written and spoken.

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multicultural, and interdisciplinary teams.

Willing to relocate to Weilheim or Munich surrounding area , hold a valid German work permit , and work on-site.

Knowledge of local regulations and experience liaising with local government authorities is essential.

Candidates must come from the local German environment to facilitate collaboration with authorities and ensure compliance with local regulations.
